Many people go through life without ever changing, upgrading, or improving themselves. The analogy of books implies that, just as books can be updated, people should also be updated and become better versions of themselves. Unfortunately, some people remain stagnant and never change jobs or get promotions because they fail to upgrade who they are and what they do.

Similarly, some businesses never grow beyond what they used to be some time ago. The same principle applies to other areas of life.

This suggests that God wants us to improve and scale up, and nobody is expected to remain the same way they began life.

Ministers of God are often the main culprits in not believing in the evolution or expansion of their calling. They live all their lives as ordinary beings even when God is trying to add to their assignment and increase the workload of their job description in the Kingdom. This can lead to missed opportunities to give birth to new dreams and ultimately a life of mediocrity.

Moses

He started as a shepherd but was upgraded by God to become the deliverer of Israel from Pharaoh and Egypt, a prophet, and the anointer of Aaron and his children into the office of perpetual priesthood. This illustrates that God expects his chosen ones to become versatile in discharging their responsibility to their generation.

Amos

He was a cattle rearer before God called him to give prophetic messages to Israel and his generation. Amos then metamorphosed and moved upward to represent God to his generation.

David

He started as a shepherd, then became a musician in the palace, led a band in the desert as a warrior and a general, and finally became the King of Judah and then over the entire Israel as a nation. In the course of his duties as King, he attained another dimension of himself – a prophet.

Conclusion

Many people retain just one version of themselves throughout their lifetime and never discover their full potential. However, everyone has other versions of themselves calling for expression. If people open their hearts to God, He will anoint them to serve a greater purpose.
