PAIN TAKES US ON A JOURNEY TO MEANING AND EXTRAORDINARY ENCOUNTER 2
Moses was called by God as the savior of his generation. He put in all vigour and efforts yet the power of Egypt and Pharaoh crushed him and he had to flee. He fled for his life, like a tramp and fugitive he journeyed to nowhere in Midian. Like Moses, many of us have done so much to do the will of God, to transform the world around us, to heal the sick, build the ministry, develop a breakthrough project yet we are assailed by the dark world of darkness. This calls for a spiritual journey of meaning; though we may not understand the way, yet the shepherd of our souls will lead us in safe haven.
This journey of Moses became a journey to the wilderness to be alone with God. There he built strength for the task ahead over the year. It is not an easy thing for a man of Moses pedigree with royal power of Egypt formerly at his beck to come serve his in-law for daily needs.
Never allow your own pain to drive you further away from God; instead, let it be the moment to draw nearer. For such season of your life shall be accounted your season of wonders in Jesus name.
Moses’ pain was consummated one day. The bush that serves nourishment was being consumed. This fear drew his attention to move closer to see the sight. He had the grasses on fire! This happened to be his means of livelihood. Many times, when your source of livelihood is being affected, it probably means that God wants to have your attention for a greater assignment or comeback. Then the Lord spoke to Moses and he was commissioned afresh for the Master’s service.
Sometimes, our livelihoods are affected so that we may pull closer to the Lord and hear his voice afresh.
It was Hannah’s pain of childlessness that gave her the rare opportunity for divine encounter through which Samuel the great prophet was given birth to. Through intense poverty the four lepers had unfailing determination to go to the Syrian camp and the Lord turned their little steps into the sound of multitudes and the enemies flee and the Lord help create overnight surplus. Their journey into the camp of the enemy suddenly turned the unwanted lepers into celebrities that bear good news.
In the hour of pains, don’t fall backward. As you step forward by faith the Lord shall multiply your steps and you shall make great delivery and the kings shall honour you.
Prayer: Lord, show me the steps I need to take in order to have divine encounter in this hour of my life.
