CARELESS LOVER Part 17

CARELESS LOVER 17

A DIFFERENT STROKE

“Felix, I want to see you,” she sounded like somebody who was mournful. He has begun to understand her mood, tone of voice and character. Surely, he knew so well that something was wrong.

“Can you tell me on the telephone?”

“When we see.”

“Putting me in suspense is killing, I cannot afford anything bad happen to you.”

“I can handle it my dear; but we need to see when you’re through at the office.”

“I’m coming now, I cannot wait.”

Felix rushed out of the office in the company of one of his drivers. After about thirty minutes drive in the traffic he got to the Moutons family house. He came down briskly and went inside as a very familiar face to the family.

He saw a mournful look on everyone’s face and he was afraid.

“Daddy, mommy, hope nothing terrible has happened? ” he stuttered and Mary hearing his voice cried coming from her room.

“I have lost my job,” Mary said and Felix drew closer to her and held her close to console; then he sat beside her opposite to the parents.

“What happened at your office?”

Mary explained to him how her absence from office for more than fifty days led to the resolution by the management of the bank. The decision was from the head office to disengage her. In addition, the organization believed she’s not yet in a very good physical state and to avoid further loss of precious hours she had to be laid off.

Felix could read the question on everyone’s face: How is she going to get a new job. It was obvious that Mary was vital in contributing to the need of the family and her younger ones who were still in their postgraduate schools.

Someone has to relieve them of this tense state. Felix had to be the person with the fact that he believed he’s responsible for everything that had gone wrong.

“Mary, I take full responsibility for all that had gone wrong. I’m responsible for that state of coma you found yourself in and without that you wouldn’t have lost your job.”

“That’s in the past, Elder Mouton said. “So far, you’ve proven to be dependable and a son to me. Whatever had taken place only further help reveal the stuff we are made of.

“When we look at pains from the negative perspective we tend to pass blames. Let everyone of us embrace our pains and let’s move forward.”

“Felix,” Mary’s mother said, “don’t take it personally. Whatever happens we will cope afterward. My plea is that you help me talk to Mary to be strong. Having her alive after the period of going into coma is enough reason to be grateful for; I cannot afford another round of such unhealthy recent past.”

“It’s a matter of time, a new job will surface.” Her dad also tried to console her.

“Dad,” Felix said, “I’m relieved it’s nothing more than this. I thought something evil had happened. Loss of job or fortune is easy to replace, unlike loss of health, life or honour.

“Meanwhile I will pay into her account the equivalent sum of money she used to earn at the bank and much more. This is very easy for me to do. I cannot afford to have her traumatized again when it is in my power.”

“We don’t want to burden you my son,” elder said. “Please don’t take responsibility for her loss of job. I believe she called you in order to have you share in her pain as her most trusted friend and possibly for encouragement.”

“That also calls that I make her happy in every conceivable way I can. To make her fully relaxed and to get the past behind her, I’ll give her all expense trip to any part of the world for as long as she wants. Please, is it okay by you Mary, tell me anything else you know I can afford to make you happy and to get all stresses off your mind.”

Mary and her parents realizing how difficult it is to dissuade him, thanked him profusely.

“My little fragile sister,” Felix said smiling at her. She shoved him and they all giggled over that.

Felix stood to go as he bade the parents goodbye. He stepped out with Mary seeing him off. As he was about entering into his car he received a phone call from Alex his younger brother.

“Big brother, I’m at your house with Helen. We will be waiting for you.”

“Alex, I have warned you these many times to stop teaming with her. Tell her to leave my home.

“I am on her side and I have told mama. Please find a place in your heart to accept her as your wife. Helen has your child not the sickly Mary.”

“Let me warn you Alex. I want it to be clear to you, mama and everybody: Nobody can dictate who I’m going to marry. Stay clear of this and don’t let Helen use you to get to me.”

Felix told him to let Helen leave his home before he comes back.

“What’s the issue Felix,” Mary asked.

“My brother is trying to meddle into what he knows nothing about. Helen is trying to use my brother.”

“She has your child.”

“But I love you, it’s you I want please.”

Mary stood transfixed and confused. “Felix, I love you. Wherever it falls I’ll continue to love you. If you still go ahead for Helen, I’ll continue to hold you in high esteem. You’re one in a million, my big brother.” She smiled affectionately as she patted him on the shoulder.

“Mary, I’ll continue to keep my words with you. You’re the lady that holds my future. I cannot see Helen in it. I cannot do without you.”

Felix drove back to the office and he did one or two things before heading back home.

As he got home he found his brother at home with Helen. Felix couldn’t take his eyes away from her beautiful frame. She’s a beauty diva. She knew this and she learned to flaunt herself carelessly. Notwithstanding, Felix made up his mind to put her at a distance.

“Helen, please what have you come for after I have given you more than enough cash for your trouble of carrying the pregnancy? What have you come for?”

“I have come for you my love. You’re more than money to me.” She walked close to his side and boldly placed her hand on his chest. “I want your heart.”

Helen knew how to handle men and made them spellbound. As she drew closer he could see her body through the transparent clothes she wore and he was tempted to want more of her, yet he gently placed her hand away.

“Helen,” he said, “no matter the effort you put in, I’m not going to fall for you again.” She carried out many antics yet she couldn’t sway him.

“I have your food ready.”

“I don’t have need of a food.”

“Brother,” Alex stepped into the living room, “you are making life hard for your wife.”

“Stay out of this,” Felix roared. “When did you get me a wife?”

“Felix, I love you and I still want to have your feel like a woman. Don’t push me out of your life.”

“I want you get out now.”

“Brother, don’t be cruel. It’s late getting her into the street.” Alex talked back to him.

Felix was having a bout of argument with his brother while Helen was using her feminine alluring power on Felix. At the end of the day they won and she had a room to herself for the night.

Very early the next day as Felix was getting out of his room, Helen was already at his door on her knees crying profusely with hands spread to him.

Felix lost his determination. He was moved with compassion and his kind heart took over as he lifted her up and was unusually soft. In doing this he set a fire on within him. His hands brushed her naked breast. Then her night dress carelessly opened up in the front.

The real sexy Helen stood before Felix and he melted and crumbled before the sophisticated influence of Helen.

“I love you,” she said quivering. “I want you again as a woman.” Felix couldn’t say a word, he stood like a statue. Helen held him closer and began to plough his body and she gently pushed him back into his room.

She removed everything on her body. Then she stroked his manhood a number of times and as she began to unbutton Felix trouser he held her hands firmly.

“Stop.”

“No,” she moaned. “P-l-e-a-s-e.”

“I thought you’ve changed.”

“I want you my love.”

“Please leave this room now.” Felix pushed her away as he gathered himself together and immediately went to the office without bidding Alex bye.

Getting to the office, he called Alex and warned him never to bring Helen to his house again. Alex knew that his brother has crossed the Rubicon, he knew when his brother has made a firm and irrevocable decision. The dice is cast.
