    DIG THE FOUNDATION FIRST

Don’t do things exactly the way the successful do their things if you don’t know why. They have sown tears, perspirations and struggles to get to where they are today. You cannot walk with utmost untainted ease if you have not paid the price. In the dictionary sweat comes before sweet. Sweat first, and then you shall enjoy the sweet.

Before you copy the art and act of others, know how they got to where they are so that you wouldn’t be copying things that are not suitable for your present phase or stage of life. Before you buy the finished branded product, you need to know what is inside.

Recently a friend was sharing with me why I should do certain things like the great ministers. I told him that will be the beginning of frustration. Sometimes, we don’t have the resources to match the grandeur, programs and projects some certain people ahead of us are embarking on; yet we think that is the only way to get to the top of our career, ministry or vocation. He cited examples of those who were ahead of us. When we look out these days, ministry programs and outlooks are so similar we seem to be doing things the same way. The bulk of us don’t know why they do things in that certain way; being affected by the bandwagon syndrome.

I told him, those who seem to be God’s generals were once distinctive in their calling; it is the aftermath of growth that brought about structures – these structures are necessary for large ministries and organizations to avoid loss of focus. By trial and error, practice and practice, then we too find our own structures to lean on.

For ministers, some were going from town to town like missionaries, some hold many outdoor programs, and some holds seminars to pull the influence they have today. Then the crowd came and they need structure. As a starter, you may need structure but not their kinds; but such that is peculiar to your level of growth.

I told him, we too have to go to the foundations of our ministry, callings and organizations and get planted strong roots. We cannot begin roofing what had no foundation. The foundation comes before the structures and the roofing. We must go down deep into the dirt. The foundation may seem untidy yet it is necessary to bear the future structure. In a nutshell, let us not begin to build the roof when we have not yet laid a foundation.

Don’t copy the successful people if you don’t know what they put in their foundation to avoid wrecking your vision.

  • LIFE LESSON FROM INVESTMENT

    Inspiring the New Generation 8

    *LIFE LESSON FROM INVESTMENT*

The man with money will lose his money to the man with experience. In investment and in life, experience is more important than money. With experience comes money. I remember the early days of Forex trading in Nigeria, many young people were told, get money, a laptop and a modem; pronto, you become a millionaire. Many of these youths sank deep down into depression and suicide because they lost their money. What they lost became profit to the experienced traders somewhere else.

Those who make the big stakes in real estate put little money down; they use what we call Other People’s Money (OPM). They depend more on their experience than money. Don’t you agree to this?

    The lessons are:

    1. Do not build your confidence in money but instead seek for wisdom. Money without the wisdom to keep it develops wings and flies away.
    2. Do not sit idly waiting for money before you start off in life, keep gathering wisdom and experience. With true wisdom comes money. The truth brings freedom.

We have lottery winners who were termed the dumbest because they still went bottom-up despite winning millions of dollar jackpots. Examples are Abraham Shakespeare, Vivian Nicholson, Willie Hurt, Billy Bob Harrell Jr, Michael Carroll and biggest of them all Andrew Jackson Whittaker Jr; he won $314,900,000.00. All of them can be said to end their lives in tragedy.

It is not more money you need but more wisdom to conduct your life. Wisdom is showcased in the amount of experience or insight at your disposal.

Money in the hands of a fool will lead to his hurt.

Proverbs said: Wisdom is the principal thing. With all thy getting, get understanding.

One thing you cannot do without is wisdom. It is the principal, non-depreciating substance of life. With wisdom you are assured of the best outcome in any situation.

    Prayers:

    1. May I not be destroyed by money.
    2. Give me wisdom to attract wealth
    3. Give me the wisdom to solve the present intricate and complex situations of my life.

    In Jesus name.

  • LOVE TONIC 1

Don’t side your spouse, tell your spouse the truth in all things

In telling the truth, I’m not saying that you should be rude.

The Bible says: You can do nothing against the truth.

Understanding and agreement on falsehood will soon or later affect your relationship.

Find ways of communicating the truth; nothing but the truth.

Then you’ll be on your way to save your relationship.

  • SUSAN 10

    THE WAGES OF SIN

“Who is this?” she stammers in fear as she turns around to see Stanley right in her sitting room. “How did you get into my home?”

“I am sorry for coming on you surprisingly.”

“You have not answered my question.”

“Bolu, your husband arranged the whole thing. He told me you are alone and made access to your home easy for me.”

“You bribed Bolu my husband to further make my life a hell. Are you making fun of me?” She turns her back to him.

    “No, my dear.”

“I am not your dear and I will never be one.”

“I am sorry please; I have come to make amend.” He places his right hand on her shoulder as she refuses to turn to him.

“Don’t touch me!” she snaps, “I am somebody’s wife whether he loves me or not. I am dignified and I have self-esteem.”

“I am sorry,” he sounds apologetic as he draws closer to her.

“Not on your life or I will scream.”

    “Please hear me out.”

“Not on that matter. On other ground you remain my friend and hero; but nothing to be said on marriage.”

Stanley stands for a while as he gazes on her beautiful slender frame from the rear. She refuses to look at him. How much he wants her to ease off many years lost to Kate cumbering overture and tantrum.

“Come to look at it Susan,” Stanley begins, “Bolu arranged this meeting and you are here defending this marriage. He arranged you his wife for me because he has money to gain from me. I told him I will give him any amount to allow me have access to you and he has given you up for me. He gave his marriage up so easily.”

“I will not do the same,” Susan smiles dryly.

“Apart from having you to me, I am doing this for you Susan. I have come for your peace. I can no longer watch you live unhappily the rest of your life. Even if you would not marry me, I will settle you with everything you would ever need; only that you are freed from this beast you called a husband.

“Bolu is living with another woman Betty. Yet you are here alone pitching for him. Susan, shake yourself out of your dream. I remember we were both neck-deep in the school Christian fellowship but you should not take this God to the extreme. Both of us are not enjoying our marriages, and God would understand our strong reasons my dear. We once made mistakes of our lives by not getting married then, but this is our chance to correct it. Pelensiri the godfather, dad of Kate is dead and Bolu is ready to hand you over to me. Easy please.”

Susan laughs as she begins: “God doesn’t understand us when our passion and mind is driving our decisions,” Susan tells him. “Do you know that Adam did not leave Eve even when she was obviously the architect of man’s fall? Marriage institution is God’s design where the stronger person helps the weaker one; or rather complement each other’s strength.

“Sometimes, a seemingly mismatched relationship could be an arrangement to bring out the glory of God. Yes, we could have made some mistakes in times past but the Bible says that all things work together for our good when we seek for his perfect will in a situation.

“It is in this marriage that I have found the strength to build a school and to own a thriving ministry growing from city to city. I have moved from being a poor village girl to own thriving institutions in the city. I may not be as rich as the Boudahas yet God had compensated my pains with his blessings because I have been faithful to him. You might promise to make me fabulously rich but I want you to know that some of us are very contented with what we have. I lack nothing good. Susan has moved forward long time ago.

“I may have momentary emotion hurt because of the kind of husband I am married to, yet the grace of God has been with me. Tell me; is there anybody without his own share of life’s problem? Stanley, I want you to know this today: My marriage to Bolu is beyond him; I put God first ahead of my enjoyment of this thing called marriage in spite of the pains.”

“Susan, this is why I love you,” Stanley begins to cry. “If you can stake it so firmly for a man who is grossly irresponsible, what wouldn’t you do for a godly man? I made the terrible mistake of my life by not following through.” He places his two hands on his heads.

“It is a thing of the past. Old things are passed away, behold, all things are new Stanley.”

“I cannot go on with Kate.”

“Where would you put the children? Where would you put the extended family, the cousins and the many people in your big marriage network? Stanley, remember that marriage is beyond two people. You are no longer married to Kate alone, but a community. This is why in marriage contract, we do have many people represented and as witnesses. You too become a witness to the vow: In good time and in bad time. Divorce is on the increase because we are leaving the traditional model of extended relationship in homes and marriages.”

“Susan, give me a place in your heart please. I need you now than ever. I want you to be in the big picture of my next level growth; leave the philosophy that’s not working for you or me.”

“I may not like every outcome but I am contented with my life estate,” Susan insists.

“Susan, the youths want me to play strategic role in the transition since the President and his cabinets were crushed in the last month’s uproar. I cannot tell the extent of my involvement once the transition in government is complete, but I will want you to be the first lady in my life.”

    “Where would you put Kate?”

“Kate will be gone beneath just as the fearful dynasty of Pelensiri ended. She will be gone into history with Pelensiri her dad. You will replace her just as Esther replaced Vashti in the Bible.

“For God’s sake we are Christians not heathen King like Ahasuerus, so let us find our examples among the saints of God who gave their lives for the just cause. More so, I have to set a positive example for the youths who I am leading. You might expect me to jump at the offer. No, no, no.”

“Is Ahasuerus and Vashti outside the Bible?”

“Even the devil spoke in the Bible. We don’t follow everyone just because they appeared in the Bible. Remember Judas committed suicide yet he too was a character of the Bible.” She replies him whimsically.

“Then let us leave this argument aside. I wouldn’t be able to handle a no please; give me your heart. Bolu is no longer coming back; right now he lives permanently with a lady called Betty. I have given him enough money to get himself off you. You have nothing holding you back.”

“Enough of that thrash Stanley. I have his children to care for and I have my conscience to nurture. Go back to Kate.”

    “Kate?”

“Yes, go back to Kate your wife. Bring out the best in her. She needs you now that her dad is late. If you can reach her heart now you might win her forever. This is your chance to mend fences and captivate her. If you want me to support you in doing this then I will be available. My heart is closed to loving you as a husband.”

Stanley hesitates for a while and is about going out when Susan who has her face to the wall all along suddenly turns to him for the first time and asks for Kate’s phone number. He gave it to her reluctantly. Her face is drenched with tears flowing down freely.

“I want her close to me.”

“Wouldn’t you come close? I cannot watch you and leave you in tears?”

“Bye Stanley.” She looks away and never turns to him. He stands for a while, and then he realizes Susan is no longer connected to his conversation. Stanley’s steps fades away without having any of his requests met.

Susan rushes into her room, falls on her bed, face down she weeps sour. All her being wants peace, joy and a great home with a man like Stanley around her but she ends up with Bolu, a beast in human clothing. It has not been easy living most of her married life as if she isn’t married. The few times he seem available he spends to thrash the little joy within her.

Here is the man she once dreamt for her life; coming back to beg for her to come bac: The perfect person she ever wanted coming back on platter of gold. Everything within her wanted Stanley, she yearns for his touch, love and cuddle but her resolve was supreme. She wants him but she couldn’t go a step further. She remembers that Bolu entered her life when she was spiritually fallow and empty. She had made the vow never to allow such again, not to allow her emotion to rule her. She also wants the best love for her children and wouldn’t want her selfish drive for Stanley scuttle their joy. She remembers her children, Samuel, Eniola and Lucy.

Why would she seek for a joy at the expense of their joy? She shivers and writhes in pains due to the intensity of her emotional turmoil. She falls asleep while crying.

The man she loves is so close to her yet she couldn’t have him. This is the irony of life. Susan is in a lonely world of hers.

Stanley gets into his car and sits for a while as he also weeps uncontrollably. He finds it difficult to forgive his parents especially his dad for his role in his choice of Kate over Susan. Susan he has always loved yet he couldn’t come to get her in his grip. At the depth of passion he felt if she could just allow him to have sex with her just to show love to her; even once. She would not even give him the least attention talk more of sex.

What kind of lady is Susan, he thought.

Stanley picks his phone and dials Bolu. “I have done all I could but Susan would not yield. I am giving up and wouldn’t hurt her by going against her will. She remains my best friend and the best lady I could have married. I cease to trouble her anymore.”

“Ah, I am sorry. Let me try harder. I will go back home and appeal to her and possibly intimidate her and force her to respond to your kindhearted gestures.”

“Don’t do such; she had been through so much already in your hands.”

“She is making me lose your favour and all the promises you have made would not be holding anymore.”

Stanley smiles: “All I have given you keep. I forfeit the four million; it worth seeking for the woman I love. Meeting Susan and feeling her voice is enough.”

“Thank you sir,” Bolu seems to be relieved on account of the four million already in his account.

“Secondly, I will still make the ten million transfers to you.”

“Ah, ah, ah,” Bolu wants to run mad for joy. “I cannot hear you right boss.”

“I am not your boss. Here the new line of agreement.”

    “Yes sir.”

“I want a written agreement to the effect that you will never in your life molest Susan. She is dear to me and I have to protect her with all I have. When the agreement is ready through a lawyer, then I will make the transfer to you immediately.”

    “It is done sir.”

Stanley cut off Bolu and drives home. His face isn’t in the best mood.

“What is the matter dear?” Kate asks with curiosity and love.

    “It is nothing.”

“Stanley, you know I have been trying to be the best of wife to you of recent. I care.”

“How could that be possible? An offspring of Pelensiri cannot deliver goodness. Is it because your dad is no longer in the picture? Your political arrangement is squashed and like your father you too want to find another means to use me to rise again? You don’t know what love is.”

“I am still mourning my dad. You know that Stanley.”

Kate couldn’t handle the barrage of questions and heart renting words of Stanley; she eases herself back to her room in tears.

Few days later, Bolu calls Stanley.

“I have the agreement ready through my lawyer.”

“Okay, I will be with you in two hours time.”

Stanley through Bolu’s lawyer accepts the letter and he transfers the sum of ten million.

Bolu is overjoyed that he breezes to a car dealer end and buy a brand new car and he zooms off back home where Betty and him live. Betty upon sighting him through the window runs out to meet him.

    “Congratulations.”

    “It has happened.”

“He transferred everything?” she ask inquisitively.

“Yes the fool did just that.” Bolu responds as the two of them hug beside the new car.

“How do we celebrate it?” Betty asks happily.

“Let us start with you. You are the special delicacy for the celebration.”

“No problem. I am all yours but at my pace.” Betty understands his language.

Bolu leads her gently into the room as they chatter and banter along. As soon as they step in, he locks the door and they duck into each other in long kisses. As he begins to remove her clothes she stops him.

    “Why?”

“The rules begin now that we are richer. One, promise me there would not be a side chick beside me; only me. I know how much you frolic around. I have my facts Bolu.”

    “Sex first and now.”

Betty understands him. With money, Bolu decides everything so she gives in without argument. She wants her share; and it will come through unfettered cooperation. This requires being the best player of sex and whatever Bolu wants.

“Okay, next rule. I want this sex to be deep and unforgettable as my token to celebrate this windfall of enormous cash.” She hollers.

“I am fully in with rule number two,” he answers.

“I have the drugs and more than enough drinks,” she whispers into his left ear. “I want to be high.”

Bolu is given to alcohol and he can go for days with little food. He gets into drug when he met Betty and she becomes his teacher in all conceivable vices except criminality.

She brings the white powder to the table and they both sniff the content. Suddenly they become ravenously engaged. They turn themselves over to depraved gambit in full sexual orgy to no end; the drug tasks their stamina to the hilt. The shouts and moaning they make during the intercourse echoes into the neighbourhood. They suddenly become silent and sleep off deep.

    “Hello Mrs Susan Boluwatife.”

She has some uneasiness as the three policemen approach her at her school. Has Bolu committed some atrocities that they want her to answer to? What could be wrong?

“We are sorry to tell you,” the most senior officer speaks with concern and brevity, “Boluwatife, your husband is dead.”

“What?” she is silent for a while. She remembers Samuel, Eniola and Lucy. “My children would no longer have a father? I trust that one day he will come back home like the prodigal son did.” She begins to weep.

Immediately she calls her mom, Mrs Beatrice who has been her confidant and strength all through the challenging times in her marriage. Her dad also took off along with her mother from the village to come mourn with their daughter.

Three days after Bolu received the ten million cash transfer from Stanley he was found cold dead in his room all by himself. The police through a hint from Bolu’s lawyer get Stanley as the prime suspect; and they had some evidences against him.

Why would Stanley want Susan by all means and to warrant the killing of Bolu?

  • HARMONY WITH NATURE 2

Listen to Human Voice Reading Here:

    Listen to text-to-word voice reading

Nature can be described as the house of man. Whoever destroys his home will live in the cold.

Everything in nature which consists of the elements and the spiritual forces within it were given as signs to direct our sojourns here on earth.

Jesus told Paul while on the way to Damascus… You cannot keep hitting your legs against thorns and have a nice time.

In other words, you cannot continue to act unjustly and expect a safe landing.

The system of our world serves as indicators to point to the facts whether we are doing it right or wrong.

If we fail to learn from nature we will remain as dwarfs in life. But if we heed the signs around us, we will always rise again no matter the depth we have fallen.

It may not be at all times, but at critical moments God will continue to speak to us through nature.

He speaks to us more through nature than through some fuzzy means.

Even Paul in certain places in scriptures told us… Don’t nature teach us.

Nature is our teacher and guide if we will allow it.

Over spirituality is the debacle of many… The entire Bible is laid with nature as its illustrators.

This is why our Lord Jesus will not complete a teaching without a parable (nature) to support his thoughts, proposition or command.

Back to Mr Paul on the way to Damascus

He got blind and fell to the ground. He learnt this to be of the Lord. He met Ananias and his sights were restored.

From that day, he became a new man. Paul never went back to his sinful path…

His life remained on the progressive all his days.

Many of us couldn’t read meaning from the experiences around us. We just take every circumstances as being casual and irrelevant.

Then we placed ourselves in perpetual pains, demotion or stagnation…

Sometimes we know where things go wrong but we choose to be chained.

*The Bible says we should not be like the mule without understanding*

_The more I grow spiritually the more I come to realize that there’s never an accident; there’s always a cause to every effect. And everything runs under the master designer – God._

Contrary to Paul’s experience, there’s a prophet in the Old Testament who orchestrated his destruction because he couldn’t take cue from nature.

    *He is Senior Prophet Balaam*

King Balak of Moab wanted Israel to go under a curse.

He sent for Balaam a renown prophet of international repute of those days.

Balaam knowing that his assignment was of National status from a king was eager to go.

His donkey of many years suddenly became wild and brutal.

Balaam couldn’t read the sign. He forced himself on it and the journey began but instead of the donkey going forward, it went sideways in spite of the brutal beatings.

God pitied the animal and it spoke like man and instantly prophet Balaam’s eyes were opened and he saw an angel ready to kill him

Balaam’s permissive will was granted and he continued on the journey.

That was the journey that led him to untimely death and got his prophetic ministry smeared for life.

    2 Peter 2:15 KJV
    Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;

    Jude 1:11 KJV
Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.

There are signs around us whether we are starting a new relationship, starting a new job, running a kind of ministry, befriending a person, etc.

Don’t ignore those natural signs, take them to Jesus.

I’m not saying that you run around signs and get everyone labeled as witch or wizard.

Those unique signs or indicators come by themselves and are revealed only that you’ve to be discerning and spiritual to perceive it.

Even big prophet Balaam couldn’t because he lacked discerning capacity.

Nature guides and leads us… Because they are controlled ultimately by God.

God is not against understanding nature what he’s against is having Christian live for the fleshly demands.

Balaam was so “spiritual” in quote but pursuit of physical goods dampened his spirit until he was destroyed.

    *Practical*

Many times some problems that we have never known will start immediately we begin to work in certain occupation, earn certain income, live in a certain locality, etc.

Let’s find where things go wrong

Sometimes we may not have been into any kind of sin. Maybe God just want to get our attention like Moses on Mount Sinai at the Burning Bush and Peter with lack of and plenty of fish.

Nature had to act against Joseph in terms of his brethren to get him into Egypt as a slave, thereby paving his way to the palace.

If every child of God will take cognizance of nature we will realize that all things work together for our good.

As Christians let’s harmonize with nature.

Nature is not our enemy, sin is the problem.

Always remember this: Nature is given as our friend to benefit from…

Our beloved God will not give us a house (nature) that will hurt us…

And when nature is contrary as it was in the story of Jonah on the stormy sea, let’s find out.

For God will continue to speak through nature if only we will listen.

On final note, I will point out certain significant areas to watch:

    1. Borrowing… The Bible says the borrower is servant to the lender.

In our real world how true is this. Borrowing takes away rest.

    2. Sowing and reaping…

Nature shows us that seed time precedes harvest.

Hyper grace teaches that you can reap without work. This is why we have more poor people among the supposed church people.

Spirituality and hard work goes together.

What grace does is that it makes result easy to obtain and multiply return on investment or input

    3. You cannot eat junks and expect anointing for good health to abound. I doubt it… Long life goes with good food

    4. You cannot think stinking thought and live in perpetual anxiety and expect a strong heart… Nature taught us that a healthy thought leads a healthy body

    5. Academics performance is dependent on students settled state to read. What’s not read with depth cannot be remembered in an examination hall.

The brain is given to be loaded with information, it’s not for mere decoration.

    6. You cannot pick a tout as a husband and expect that he will not make you his punching bag… As you lay your bed you lie in it.

    7. In nature, there’s no free thing ultimately. Salvation cost Jesus something and it cost you trading off an old lifestyle and a turn around by his grace

Everything has a cost, value and price. Be ready to labour to obtain.

    8. Nature shows us that everything we see aren’t accidental… The car, houses, mountains and the universe.

Nature let us know there’s a Sovereign Being, he is God Almighty.

We can learn so many things from nature if only we will be in Harmony with it…

Man cannot advance here on earth without understanding nature… His place of abode.

Thank you for following, next week we will start a new series by the grace of God.

    HARMONY WITH NATURE

Why this topic is of importance is due to many hurtful decisions many Christians especially leaders take in the name of being spiritual.

Recently somebody challenged me about the use of words, “strategy”. To such people it sounds human wisdom.

Then I reply the person thus: God gives us brain so that we may let him rest.

    *Illustration with the ant*

The book of proverb talking about hard work and gathering of harvests talked about the ant.

He said: Go to the ant oh ye sluggard and learn…

In other words he is saying learn from nature

    *Jesus teaching about his coming*

He said, it’s like a thief coming in the night.

His coming shall have a characteristics like seasons do, he then proceeded to give the signs.

    *Jesus teachings through parable*

Jesus taught many spiritual truth using earthly things… Mustard seeds, servants, grain, sheep, treasure field, etc.

In essence, you cannot understand spiritual truth without firstly understanding natural things.

You cannot understand our Father who art in heaven if you cannot understand the role of our father who’s on earth.

Jesus said: If you men know how to give good gifts to your children, *how much more* our Father who is in heaven.

Spiritual leaders who would really affect earthly man will not dissociate men from their natural habitat else he will lead them to confusion.

Instead he should help them to harmonize their earthly experience as a forerunner of the heavenly experience which is to come.

    Here are examples:

    1. When we preach about supplies, we rarely underscore the place of hard work.

These days we overly hype grace as if grace is a remote control for supplies without labour

Jesus says: I work even as my Father works.

Paul says: these hands of mine provides for my needs.

This leads to the next point.

    2. Pastor and full-time calling. Reading through my Bible I have not seen where the Bible expressly taught that preachers should not work.

Jesus knew where to meet his disciples after resurrection… They were known fishermen.

    Paul was a tentmaker.

Inasmuch as it’s good to live a dedicated life, we must work when the ministry is in the growing phase.

God would rather have us work than become a beggar in his work; and with hunger comes all kinds of manipulations.

Let me make you laugh a little. Some twenty five years ago while in the university my food and money has finished. I had nothing left.

That particular morning as I entered the bathroom to have my bath I saw a wristwatch and I picked it.

As a Christian I cannot steal it, that I know.

Then I saw the owner. Naturally, I would just hand over and turn away. But because of acute lack at that time, I demanded compensation. He gave me. Any time I remember I shake my head… What one can do when hungry

When we are hungry we do certain thing as preachers we should not.

So if we don’t expressly hear God, let’s fill our extra hours out of pulpit with work.

*We are all in full-time ministry when all our lives is being lived for the expansion of the kingdom and his glory*

There’s no part time when we serve God. The early missionaries come along with skills… Doctors, nurses, teachers, etc.

God doesn’t subject his pastors to perpetual hunger in the name of ministry.

    *3. Investment*

Many churches rarely teach their members the concept of investment. All we are about is kingdom investment (in church).

Jesus taught on talents and investments beyond heavenly deposits.

    Let’s harmonize this area.

No matter who teach a thing, it’s not right if it’s not bringing result.

Africa in spite of the teachings on prosperity is growing poorer as a nation because the teachings on prosperity is devoid of investment senses.

Let christian leaders teach on investment. Yes, some seed sowing may be delay, yet we will ultimately come up with more prosperous members and church… But with delay gratification

When Christians refuse to own investments because they are not taught, there’s nothing left than Christians to be employees of unbelievers.

Some natural laws like investment principles are made to be uphold.

The work of anointing oil, grace and supernatural power is to blessed the work of our hands.

*There must be work to be blessed, the anointing doesn’t work on emptiness*

Natural laws are not expected to be flouted, they are to be respected.

For God created the earth, it’s laws and principles.

So we need to understand how it goes.

    4. Abusive use of the body needs to be watched.

As Christians there’s is safe limits to the use of the body. Abuse of it will lead to death no matter the amount of anointing.

Understand your body, reduce stressors like too much work, much food, too much fasting and sleeplessness.

Although as human body cannot live without the spirit, in the same way the spirit cannot function on earth without the body.

We have cases of men of God who died as a result of excess fasting and denial of self from sleep.

After we die, life would go on, and other will step into the anointing we carelessly abuse.

*5. We should understand there are anointing for the marketplaces of life*

Every anointing doesn’t lead to the pulpit. Many because of overzealousness left their place of anointing to a deserted place in ministry.

For instance, my calling is firstly to the market places whether in the street or on the pulpit.

Joseph, Nehemiah, Daniel are examples of men called to the market places.

Don’t leave your place of strength for a ministry on the pulpit.

No anointing is greater than the other, what’s important is impact.

Nature will direct you to your area of fruitfulness if you’re keen. Watch carefully and occupy till Christ come.

*We all must find our place*

    Judges 9:7-13 KJV
And when they told it to Jotham, he went and stood in the top of mount Gerizim, and lifted up his voice, and cried, and said unto them, Hearken unto me, ye men of Shechem, that God may hearken unto you. [8] The trees went forth on a time to anoint a king over them; and they said unto the olive tree, Reign thou over us. [9] But the olive tree said unto them, Should I leave my fatness, wherewith by me they honour God and man, and go to be promoted over the trees? [10] And the trees said to the fig tree, Come thou, and reign over us. [11] But the fig tree said unto them, Should I forsake my sweetness, and my good fruit, and go to be promoted over the trees? [12] Then said the trees unto the vine, Come thou, and reign over us. [13] And the vine said unto them, Should I leave my wine, which cheereth God and man, and go to be promoted over the trees?

    God bless you all

  • BE STRATEGIC ABOUT YEAR 2021

    Be strategic about 2021

This message is important looking at the outlook of 2020.

It was a similar experience to Isaac’s experience at Gerah.

While in Gerah things weren’t rosy and kind to him… At the end of the season he planned checking out.

Many of us are frustrated as the year is running out, we have many plans among which is resignation to fate.

But for this one time God is saying that he is not over with you…

    *RELOAD

Isaac counted his loss and was disappointed really.

As Isaac was picking his pieces together to get down to Egypt the Lord appeared unto him and instruct him to stay back.

    Genesis 26:1-4,6 KJV
And there was a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went unto Abimelech king of the Philistines unto Gerar. [2] And the Lord appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of: [3] Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father; [4] And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; [6] And Isaac dwelt in Gerar:

    *A vital lesson here:*

    1. God doesn’t want his own children to give up for any reason.

    2. God sees all we passes through

    3. There are places his coverings are not guaranteed in our life journey. Let’s be careful not to be hasty going such ends.

    4. God has his own plan for us… Plan to do us good if we will trust and obey

    5. God is mindful of his covenant to our forefathers in the faith and he’s looking out to fulfil them in our lives.

God sees your pains, so he is sending his words:

If only you will hold on faithfully to him, I swear by his Mighty Name he will do you good.

He is not man that he will lie.

In our journey in life, what we need of utmost importance is THE WORD OF GOD…

I mean the specific word in that circumstance.

How do you hear him: By being intensive in prayer. When you get into such state as one in labour he who could speak through a donkey will send you words.

God speaks and all his creation that calla him from the depth of their hearts can hear him distinctly.

In 2021 we will have specific words of God to bank upon in those situations in Jesus name.

*Today we are talking about being strategic in 2021*

    What so we mean?

I realized as many of us do that many people into the ending of the years become hyper-spiritual.

Everyone is in church and prayer gathering.

God is an intentional God. He wants you too to be intentional.

God is not a dummy we can rush to for a quickie.

He is far intelligent than man.

You make marathon prayer into the next year… Then it ends there….

This is why majority in prayer gathering don’t get anything…

They believe prayer is all they need and the magic wand to use into the new year.

    Then it stops there.

Why do you think African churches aren’t moving forward?

We pray loooooong but lacked the actions that goes with prayer.

When Isaac heard God to stay back in Gerah he didn’t do what many Africans will do.

In Africa, after looong prayer and God ask us to stay back in Gerah we will obey quite OK. Sit back home and wait lazily for somebody in America or one rich man to become answer to our prayer.

Africa is becoming a praying nations full of lazy Christians.

Looking at Bible principles… Christians are not the recipients of aids, alms and bailout.

    Christians should be the answer.

When Isaac received the words of God, he didn’t go forth, fold his hands and keep hoping.

He believed and demonstrated his faith by action.

Isaac sowed like never before, dug well with new zeal and vigours.

If you’ve really heard God, you’ll work more than others….

Paul our example laboured more than the rest.

If you have really prayed and heard God you will be ready to work out (your salvation).

For the evidence of faith in your prayer is WORK.

Let us stop hoping while we do nothing.

I’m talking with WC here, so we understand that we are made with superior substance of his glory.

Thousands of anointing oil, prophecies and laying on of hands will not change things if those things will not lead us to ACTION.

SEED sowing into the new year without calls to strategic labour (I’m not talking about wild labour) is emptiness.

Even corn down in a farmland needs extra labour to make it bring forth.

Pray, sow your seed, receive prophetic impartation, then LABOUR LIKE NEVER BEFORE.

I know this is strange teachings.

Christians of today are not taught to labour so they begin to slave it out to the enemy.

Do you know that after the express words of God to Isaac, Isaac went into fierce labour that made him richer than a whole nation?

    Genesis 26:12-14 KJV
Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him. [13] And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great: [14] For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him.

Note in the line above: *Isaac sowed in the land*

God’s word to you is only designed to empower you to take action.

If you’ve really heard God, you cannot sit quietly….

Pray until you hear God in the coming year.

When Adam heard God he single handedly numbered and named all the animals in Eden

Abraham knowing who he was overcame 4 nations in a single war.

Joseph knew what God said about his dominion that even after becoming a governor of Egypt would rise daily anticipating to meet his brethren based on prophecy.

What God is saying for 2021, rise to fulfill the prophecy that has gone ahead of you.

    Rise in dominion

    Elevate

    Labour

    For I am with you.

N.B. The above isn’t for those who want to walk contrary to divine prescription and covenant of life.

    Let us pray;
Dear Lord, I thank you for your word that strengthens my heart to step up the game and live for your purpose in my life in 2021.

Lord forgive me of every kind of sin that may want to destroy your plan for my life.

Lord Jesus I receive you afresh into my heart as I chose a new life in you.

May 2021 be my best year so far in Jesus name.

    Amen.
