  • TAKING TERRITORIES Part 3

    *PART 3… TAKING TERRITORIES*

    The greatest battles are fought in the mind.

    Until you capture the mind of people you cannot influence them reasonably.

    Going over the scriptures of last week:

    The biblical story of the mad man of Gadara in Mark 5 and Luke 8.

    We see a man whose mind was taken over by demons.

    Once his mind was taken over, the rest was story… He goes about doing the wishes of those spirit.

    Whosoever takes over the mind rules a life.

    *In the same light, whatever controls our mind will determine how far we can go in life.*

    _Ultimately, it’s not the circumstances of life that differs but how we think and process situation that lend to our lives how far we will go and what we will become_

    *Proverbs 23:7 KJV*

    *For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he…*

    No one go beyond what his mind approves…

    And no matter the fortune we come into, we end up back to the level of our mind.

    *Here are two instances in my discussion with someone today:*

    1. A woman lives in USA. Very comfortably that she housed a large church in her home.

    She became sick, suddenly somebody who was far beneath her in education, exposure, wealth and travels lured her to Nigeria down to a herbalist.

    Then she died.

    *The lesson:*

    No matter how one rises in life, if his mind isn’t renewed he will fall back like pack of cards in time of crisis.

    So the Bible says… Let your mind be renewed.

    2. A friend talks: My prayer is… “Let the will of God be done.”

    I told him, there must be a specific will we want of him.

    When Jesus prayed at Gethsemane for the will of God, he had something in mind.

    The Bible say we should ASK… And we shall receive….

    Without this knowledge of asking, we will be children of God and we will remain despondent of the paraphernalia of grace.

    *Now we are were we are going*

    *When we want to take territories, we ask and demand for it:*

    … This is a function of what’s on our mind… If you think you can, then you can

    Psalm 2 expressly tells us: ASK OF ME… TERRITORIES

    Psalm 2:8 KJV
    *Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.*

    _In the kingdom, you take territories to the extent of your asking… The only clause is that you take the kingdom for God in the name of Jesus Christ_

    This means that we can grow in impact infinitely if ALL we are about is to the glory of God.

    Like the story of the mad man of Gadara, if we fail to take the territories allotted to us, the enemies will take them.

    Note: There’s no free territories, the one we fail to take, the enemies will take on:

    The media
    Business
    Moral
    Politics
    Governance
    Entertainment
    Etc.

    *This takes us to different territories:*

    Some of us do believe that Christians territory is only at the church… No, no…

    The bible says: the earth is the Lord and the fullness.

    Politics and governance is bad because of the kind of players in it.

    *Politics and governance is bad because of the kind of players in it.*

    Finally, prayerfully find a territory to take for the Lord. You can.

  • TAKING TERRITORIES Part 2

    Animals have territories… Lions, leopards, eagles.

    Man a higher being also demonstrates the strive to gain territories.

    Ancient wars are set in motion in order to gain territories… Such wars gave birth to Roman empire, Grecian empire, Yoruba empire and many other.

    The Bible also confirms this as we watch the rise of Egyptian empire, the nation of Israel, Syria, Assyria and Babylonian empire.

    *The world is set that way…*

    The bottom line is that you’re either expanding your ground and horizon or you’re being swept under other people’s power and influence.

    You’re either growing or diminishing. Somebody is gaining while another is losing.

    *Territorial influence starts from the mind.*

    Territorial growth is something you’re not allowed to joke with…

    *There’s always a territory to take by everyone that cares*

    The difference is that in modern day, civilization has moved the world from gaining territories through warfare and killing.

    In modern days we have moved from struggling and forceful taking over.

    This is attributed to the impact of the gospel and the Bible

    *In today’s world we don’t takeover by the sword but by the spirit/Spirit and by the mind*

    Therefore the battle for *territories* have been moved from land to the *mind* by the *spirits/Spirit*

    _So we can say that territories are conquered in the mind in order to be won out there_

    What you failed to win within you cannot be established in your outer world. Thus the taking over is an inside-out job.

    *This is the basics of the Elevation Code… Reconstruction of the mind…*

    *We hereby ask for the help of the Holy Spirit in this*

    *_In today’s world we don’t takeover by the sword but by the spirit/Spirit and by the mind_*

    There’s a biblical story which is of immense help in Mark 5 and Luke 8.

    It’s the story of the mad man of Gadarene

    In order to render him useless demons (spirit beings) took over his mind. He became insane as a result of thousands of demons living within him.

    The demons took over the territory of his mind. As long as this spirit took over his mind they keep controlling his world.

    *Therefore, whatever controls your mind controls your world*

    Whatever you lose in your mind you lose out in your world.

    *Proverbs 4:23 KJV*

    Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

    What changes us is the transactions that takes place in our mind.

    When the demons within the mad man were cast out, the mad man turned around from being violent to becoming a disciple of Christ.

    Surrendering to Christ is the beginning of spiritual exchange for dominion.

    The mad man upon submitting to Christ became a new man.

    When Christ is settled within you, the Holy Spirit the comforting Spirit enters into you and by deliberate communion your mind grow in capacity to embrace all that God wants for you.

    You either allow the Holy Spirit to lead you or you’re opened to demonic attack.

    *As I round up remember: The biggest territory to win or lose is the territory of the mind*

    Your world is opened to you according to the frame of your mind.

    *Proverbs 4:23 KJV*

    Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

    Your mind is the foundation of all the good ground you’ll ever take.

    Christians by perverse messages from the pit of hell scale downward and play safe and little and thereby lose relevance where it matters.

    Ask many of us what we think about politics, our quick response would be: It is for the devil’s children.

    I told somebody that what causes sinfulness isn’t much about the kind of job you’re engaged in but sin nature within one.

    We have teachers who are crooks just as we have politicians.

    David was a political leader yet was a man after God’s heart.

    The point is: God has assigned each of us to a domain where he wants us to make impact?

    *Taking Territory

    Now to the main meat, get set for this message should change and transform you

    *Take territory*

    What the message is saying is that you should stop playing small.

    *Why*

    1. *The Bible accounts*

    The Bible account from Genesis to Revelation is about individuals, society and nation and their quest for territories.

    Abraham in Canaan has account that he grew mighty with lands, servants and riches.

    Joseph was Lord in Egypt

    Joshua fought for the promised land

    David brought under nations around him and he grew into many lands yet he remained the friend of God

    2. It is the nature of man to gain dominion.

    God told man to multiply and to have dominion.

    Playing small in the name of humility is a sin and against the will of God

    Genesis 1:27-28 KJV
    So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. [28] And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

    Our design to live in dominion is in tandem with the image of God

    God’s throne and kingdom has no end.

    Man in his image want to take over and explore the universe.

    Do you know that we are already at the edge of people building cities in mars very soon… Another planet

    What that means is that you stop playing small at your little corner.

    Like the butterfly, it’s good to stay for a while in your cocoon, but to stay longer than is due is to die frustrated and depressed.

    To stay too long at a position for *too long* is depressing…

    The baby has to be in the mother’s womb for 9 months, but beyond that it becomes uncomfortable.

    When you first arrived at that height you were glad, but now you felt it’s time to fly to a new height.

    If you’re feeling that way don’t feel guilty, for it is the nature of God to grow.

    3. *Jesus words confirm it*

    Luke 12:32 KJV

    Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

    When we talk about kingdom we are talking with the mind of two conjoined words…

    King…. *Dom* ain

    King
    Domain

    *You cannot have a king without a domain*

    In my own good understanding, every one has a domain, but it’s left for us to appropriate and to harness it.

    Many of us live like destitute at the mercy of the horned Lucifer…

    We are not called to live at the corner of life as victim.

    I cannot imagine God lying. If he says he’s given us a kingdom, I want to believe it wasn’t an imaginary kingdom please.

    Luke 12:32 KJV

    Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

    Jesus here used an endearing words… Fear not, little flock…

    He looked at his disciples. They seem trembling and hiding from being the impact makers…

    Then he seem to become their motivation teacher…

    Telling them… You’re more than you’re… You have a ready kingdom from the Father.

    4. *The kingdom is within us*

    Luke 17:21 KJV

    Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

    Jesus is saying here… The kingdom or territory you’ll have is according to what you could see within you.

    The kingdom of God depends on how far each of us can see.

    God owns the universe but he gives each of us a part of the whole….

    Psalm 24, the earth is the Lord and the fullness.

    5. *God wants increase*

    The parable of the talents illustrates this of a king who gives of his talents to servants… Those who multiply it were given more and entered into the master’s kingdom.

    *God frowns at stagnancy*

    _As a Christian and leader make your life a forward movement. Our God do not accept excuses fr man_

    You’ll realize that the servant who failed to trade his talent was cast out in spite of his numerous excuses

    See beyond and grow beyond. It’s time to take territories.

    *Before rounding up I’ll want to clarify a grey area.*

    1. The Old Testament is written with the mind of a physical world… So acquiring territories has to do with physical lands and conquering of people

    2. The New Testament is written with the mind of a spiritual world… So acquiring territories has to do foremost with the liberation of the spirit and soul (mind) of man.

    Jesus believed that if your mind is sound you can take over properly without necessarily enslaving anybody.

    So as a Christian, your most important conquest is taking over the territory of your mind…

    Jesus Christ picture of the kingdom or territory or domain is beyond money, fame or status as we see Christianity today.

    Jesus picture is about doing the will of God and being faithful in all his house to do ALL he wants us to do.

    Taking over is being impactful according to the design of God for our lives.

    Taking territories is about establishing the kingdom of God over the kingdom of the world.

    Taking territories for a Christian is about setting the life and nature of God in the world of men.

    Finally, taking kingdom is about knowing you’re free and living accordingly.

    Knowing that you can be ALL God wants you to be because the KINGDOM of God is in you.

    It depends on you how far you want to go in life according to the power that works in you.

    Ephesians 3:20 KJV

    Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

    The Lone Crusader:

With unwavering determination, they don their armor and saddle their horse, setting off on their journey inch by inch, yard by yard, and mile by mile. As they venture forward, a remarkable phenomenon unfolds. Men, women, and youths, inspired by their unwavering spirit, begin to emerge from the shadows, drawn by admiration and a profound sense of identification. From left and right, they converge, swelling the ranks of the crusader’s force.

    From Solitude to Unity:

    The crusader starts as a solitary figure, lacking support and companionship. But as they step into the trenches with focused determination and purpose, people begin to gravitate towards them, one after another. The once-lonely path transforms into a common journey towards a larger life. With time, a new world of peace, freedom, prosperity, and fruitfulness begins to take shape. This profound transformation stems from the choice of one individual to initiate a chain of change, where hunger and thirst give way to fullness.

    The Eternal Legacy:

    The champion of the people, having grown extraordinary in grace, stands tall like a colossus with their feet firmly planted on the two ends of the earth. Despite their stature, they remain humble, viewing themselves as mere custodians of their people’s aspirations. As time progresses, the champion fades away, leaving space for new champions of the realm to emerge. Yet, the impact of their deeds lingers, transcending time and boundaries. The shadow of the great champion stretches through the years, as they are invited to feast with the immortal. The world of a true leader has no end, and their actions bear eternal value.

    Embracing Your Journey:

    This special tribute is dedicated to all those who dare to take the first step on the path of purpose, destiny, and world transformation. The world awaits the unique gifts and contributions that lie within each individual. It is the Father’s good pleasure to grant you the world, and it is up to you to seize it.

    Conclusion:

    In the tapestry of human existence, there are those who heed the call to embark on a transformative journey. They rise above their personal struggles, reaching out to others with a fervent desire to create a better world. What are you thirsting to accomplish in life? Reflect on your passions, interests, and values to uncover your true purpose. And most importantly, when do you intend to start taking action? Embrace the call to embark on your own journey, for it is in your hands that the power to shape the world lies. Remember, you have to start.

    Embracing the Purpose of Your Gifts: A Call to Serve a Cause Bigger Than Yourself.

    Introduction:

    In the vast tapestry of creation, nothing exists solely for its own sake. The sun illuminates the world, the moon controls the tides, and even the animals in the forest play a part in the intricate balance of nature. Similarly, as individuals, we are not created merely to fulfill our own selfish desires. Rather, we are endowed with unique gifts and talents, each serving a purpose greater than ourselves. Drawing inspiration from biblical examples, such as Moses, Bezaleel, and Aholiab, we are reminded that our abilities are meant to be directed towards the service of a higher cause.

    1. A Divine Commission:

    In the book of Exodus, we encounter the story of Moses, who was chosen by God to lead the Israelites out of Egypt and guide them towards the promised land. As part of his mission, God entrusted Moses with the task of constructing the tabernacle, a sacred dwelling place for His presence among the people. This divine commission highlights the concept that our gifts are not meant to be self-serving but should be utilized for the betterment of humanity and the glory of God.

    2. Moses: A Steward of Divine Direction:

    Moses, a humble and obedient servant, understood the true nature of his calling. Despite possessing remarkable leadership skills and wisdom, he did not exploit these gifts for personal gain. Instead, he channeled them towards fulfilling the purposes of God. Moses recognized that his abilities were given to him for a reason – to serve as a conduit for the liberation and spiritual growth of the Israelites. His devotion to this higher cause enabled him to fulfill his potential and bring about monumental change.

    3. Bezaleel and Aholiab: Artists of Divine Inspiration:

    Within the narrative of the tabernacle’s construction, we encounter Bezaleel and Aholiab, skilled artisans handpicked by God to oversee the intricate details of the project. These individuals exemplify the notion that every talent, whether artistic, technical, or intellectual, can be employed to advance a greater purpose. By embracing their God-given abilities, Bezaleel and Aholiab were able to contribute to the manifestation of a sacred space where people could connect with the divine.     Recognizing that our gifts are not designed for self-indulgence, but rather for service, allows us to tap into our true potential.     The story of Moses, Bezaleel, and Aholiab serves as a timeless reminder that our gifts are not granted to serve our own needs alone.     B. Embracing Servant Leadership: Utilizing God-Given Skills for the Kingdom:

    Throughout our lives, many of us discover and develop unique skills and abilities. Whether it’s through acquiring a trade, pursuing a particular course of study, innovating, or receiving specialized training, we often find ourselves drawn to specific areas of expertise. However, beneath our personal inclinations and aspirations, it is crucial to recognize that it is God who ultimately instills within us the will to develop these skills. Unfortunately, many people acquire these gifts without considering how they can be used to advance the Kingdom of God and serve a greater purpose.

    1. The Purpose of Gifts:

    When we possess unique skills and talents, it is important to remember that they are not given to us for personal gain or self-indulgence. Rather, they are bestowed upon us by God for a greater cause. Just as nothing in creation exists solely for itself, our gifts are meant to be used in service of others and for the glory of God. By understanding the purpose behind our talents, we can align them with God’s plan and make a positive impact on the world.

    2. Becoming a Servant Leader:

    In 1 Kings 3:7-9, we find the story of Solomon, who did not view himself as a king raised for his own benefit, but as a servant-king raised to lead and serve the people. This mindset is a defining characteristic of extraordinary leaders. True servant leaders see their positions as opportunities to serve, rather than expecting to be served. When aspiring for leadership roles, it is crucial to examine our motivations. If our aspirations are driven by personal gain and selfish reasons, we have already failed as leaders. Like Solomon, we should understand that our leadership roles are meant to benefit others and fulfill God’s purpose.

    3. Following the Example of Jesus:

    Jesus Himself came to serve rather than be served. As followers of Christ, we are called to emulate His example. In order to make a meaningful impact in the Kingdom of God, we must adopt a servant’s heart. Our skills and gifts are not meant to elevate ourselves, but to humbly serve those around us. By embracing this servant leadership mentality, we can become catalysts for positive change and contribute to the advancement of God’s Kingdom.

    4. Discovering Purpose in Service:

    To truly matter in the Kingdom of God, we must recognize that our skills and gifts are not about personal gain or individual success. Instead, they are instruments to bring about transformation and serve the greater good. By aligning our abilities with God’s purpose, we find fulfillment and meaning in our service. Whether it is through using our skills to help others, spreading love and compassion, or sharing our knowledge for the benefit of those in need, our acts of service can have a profound impact on the lives of others and glorify God.

    As individuals, we possess unique skills and talents that are given to us by God for a greater purpose. Instead of using these gifts solely for personal gain, we are called to adopt a servant leadership mentality and utilize them to serve others and advance the Kingdom of God. Just as Solomon saw himself as a servant-king, and Jesus came to serve rather than be served, we too should embrace a mindset of humble service. By recognizing that our skills are meant to be used for the benefit of others and the glory of God, we can make a lasting impact and fulfill our purpose in the Kingdom. Let us embrace servant leadership and dedicate our skills and gifts to the service of others, bringing about positive change and spreading the love of Christ to the world.

    Jesus Christ came to introduce the concept of the kingdom of God, a divine realm that surpasses any earthly kingdom or human understanding. His purpose was not centered around rules, regulations, creeds, or ideologies, but rather to offer us a glimpse of this extraordinary kingdom.

    When Jesus arrived, He demonstrated the life of God and revealed His approval through acts of healing, provision, love, and abundant living. His intention was for us to understand the nature of God, His fatherly attributes, and His deep concern and care for every aspect of our lives. Ultimately, Jesus wanted to reveal what the kingdom of God truly looks like.

    In Luke 11:20, Matthew 12:28, and Luke 10:9, Jesus spoke of the kingdom of God, emphasizing its presence and power.
    He taught His disciples to pray, “Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven,” indicating that God’s desire is for the heavenly kingdom to manifest on earth. Heaven serves as the blueprint for the earthly realm, a model to guide our lives. Just as Moses was instructed to construct according to the heavenly pattern revealed to him on the mountain, we are called to build and establish God’s kingdom on earth.

    God does not descend personally to accomplish this task; rather, He entrusts us, humanity, to participate in establishing His kingdom on earth.

    Psalm 115:16 affirms that while the heavens belong to the Lord, the earth is given to the children of men. Jesus declared that the kingdom of God is within us, not something external to be sought out. Luke 17:21 states, “Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.”

    As children of God, the essence of the heavenly kingdom resides in our hearts and minds. Like Moses who was asked to build according to the pattern shown him, we seek to understand God’s heart through the indwelling Spirit, enabling us to comprehend the fullness of the heavenly Jerusalem and our role in establishing it on earth. We are called to be ambassadors, tasked with bringing heaven’s reality into the earthly realm.

    The eternal nature of God is already implanted in humanity; it is not a distant and unattainable place. The kingdom has already come within and among us through the presence of Christ Jesus. Our responsibility is to cultivate and spread its seed on the surface of the earth. The kingdom is like a seed that exists within us, waiting to be planted by each and every individual.

    What does heaven look like? It encompasses every aspect of beauty, nobility, royalty, splendor, and abundance beyond our imagination. As the hands, eyes, and bearers of God, we are instrumental in transforming the earth into a reflection of heaven’s glory. Through our actions and lives, God intends to restore the earth to its original heavenly form.

    Have you ever wondered who will be the ones to fulfill God’s will here on earth? Will it be angels, animals, or any other created beings? No, God has chosen mankind for this purpose. We are the ones who are called to seek the establishment of His kingdom in our lives and in the world we inhabit.

    In understanding our role, we must grasp the significance of being the “salt of the earth,” as mentioned in Scripture. It is important to note that God’s kingdom extends beyond the confines of a localized church or even the entirety of the church. His kingdom encompasses every aspect of human existence, and we are meant to influence and impact every facet of society.

    When Jesus instructed us to seek first the kingdom of God and its righteousness, He was urging us to pursue a new kind of government, one that reflects the principles and values of His kingdom. This is not limited to our personal lives but should also be evident in our families and wherever we find ourselves.

    The attribute that defines this kingdom is righteousness and holiness, surpassing mere concerns for food, clothing, and material provision. While these needs are included, the kingdom of God encompasses a much broader scope.

    As stated in Romans 14:17, “For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink, but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.”

    It is important to recognize that God desires more than just a select few functioning in the fivefold ministry roles of teacher, apostle, pastor, evangelist, and prophet. The rest of the body of Christ also has a purpose to fulfill.

    Ephesians 4:11-13 explains that these ministry roles are given for the equipping of the saints and the edification of the body of Christ. Their purpose is to bring about unity in faith and knowledge of the Son of God, leading to maturity and the fullness of Christ’s stature.

    Eph 4:11-12
    11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
    12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
    13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.

    The work of the ministry is bigger than denominationalism, the 5 fold office is to edify the rest for the work of the ministry; a ministry which is out there.

    The work of the ministry extends far beyond denominationalism or the confines of specific roles. The fivefold ministry is meant to empower the rest of the body to engage in the work of the ministry, which extends beyond the walls of the church. It is a ministry that reaches out to impact the world around us.

    In Matthew 5:14, Jesus declared, “You are the light of the world.” We are sent to make a difference, to bring light and transformation to the world. This responsibility rests upon all believers, not just a select few. We are all called to be ambassadors of God’s kingdom, agents of change in our spheres of influence.

    So, let us embrace our calling as the salt of the earth and the light of the world. Let us seek God’s kingdom and righteousness, living out the attributes of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.
    Together, as the body of Christ, we can impact the world and fulfill God’s will here on earth.
