  • What Love Experts Don’t Tell You – 4

IT IS YOUR WORK TO MAKE THINGS WORK

If you are not happy being single or unmarried, it is important to question why you believe that marriage will bring you joy. The truth is, who you are as an individual will only be amplified by marriage.

    Proverbs 27:19 KJV
As in water face answereth to face, so the heart of man to man.

If you do not know how to cohabit and build a strong foundation before entering into marriage, the act of getting married itself will not fundamentally change you. As Mahatma Gandhi once wisely said, “Be the change you want to see in others.” The key to a secure and blissful marriage lies in the effort and commitment you put into it. Never rely solely on your partner to be responsible for your happiness, fulfillment, wealth, and prosperity. You are a significant stakeholder in your own joy and personal growth, both before and after marriage.

If you are struggling with financial difficulties, it is unrealistic to expect that marriage will magically solve all your problems and bring you riches. This belief is an illusion. If you are unable to contribute to the financial stability and well-being of your family, you will likely become a burden rather than a valuable asset. Your desire for an easy life without taking on responsibilities will only lead to disdain and animosity from your partner and others around you.

This is why relationships often face challenges when there is a significant difference in status between partners. One partner may be focused on personal growth, building wealth, and developing skills, while the other may view the marriage as an opportunity to exploit the fortune of their partner.

In essence, the level of investment you put into a marriage significantly determines the level of bliss and fulfillment you can expect to receive from it. It is crucial to understand that to find true happiness in a marriage, we must take responsibility for our actions and contributions. We must strive to become partners who actively contribute to the growth and well-being of the entire family. A marriage that brings blessings and abundance is one that is nurtured and cultivated, allowing the best qualities of both individuals to flourish and benefit the union.

  • Focus on Needs

It’s important not to get caught up in seeking approval from others, but rather to focus on what needs to be done. Seeking validation solely from others can lead to short-term success, but building a lasting legacy requires meeting the needs of others. When you prioritize meeting the needs of others, you become a person of impact.

An example of this is the story of David and Goliath. David was not approved or expected to fight Goliath, but he took action anyway. Champions don’t wait for approval or applause, they take action and do what needs to be done.

Similarly, when pursuing your own goals, it’s important to focus on the task at hand and not worry about who is or isn’t following you. Doing what needs to be done, even when it’s difficult or unpopular, will ultimately lead to success and recognition.

It’s also important to remember that mastery takes time and practice. Even when you feel like you’ve missed the mark, keep firing and eventually you’ll develop the skills and expertise needed to succeed.

In order to develop this kind of focus and determination, it’s important to be comfortable being alone and independent. This can help you stay focused on your goals without being distracted by external validation or pressure.

Ultimately, if you stay committed to meeting the needs of others and doing what needs to be done, you’ll build a legacy that will make a lasting impact on the world.

  • The Circumstance Doesn’t Define Your Relationship

    Relationship 101

Topic: The Circumstance Doesn’t Define Your Relationship

Relationships are a crucial part of our lives and they play a significant role in shaping who we are. It is often said that circumstances do not make a person; instead, they reveal what kind of person we are. In most cases, we cannot change or alter the lifestyle of our partners to a large degree. However, who we are as individuals will determine whether we can cope with our partners or not.

It is essential to note that successful relationships require resilience, patience, and commitment. It is not uncommon to encounter challenges in relationships. For instance, financial difficulties, infidelity, violence, among others, can put a strain on any relationship. However, how we handle these challenges will reveal who we are as individuals.

One thing we can learn from successful relationships is that adversity can bring out the best in us. When we face challenges, we have the opportunity to demonstrate humility, temperance, love, and submission to our partners. Adversity in relationships can refine us and make us better versions of ourselves. Those who have gone through more challenges in their relationships often remain standing, while others crumble at the slightest hint of discomfort.

It is crucial to keep our hearts guarded in relationships, as the Bible says, for from it come the issues of life. When we feel overwhelmed and feel like we cannot take it anymore, it is vital to lean on biblical injunctions and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Breaking rank with our partners should only be considered as a last resort.

It is worth noting that not all relationships will work out. However, as individuals, we can choose to exhibit virtues such as resilience, patience, and commitment, knowing that the Holy Spirit dwells in us. When we do our best in relationships, we can be confident that we have done everything in a way that God, angels, and humans would say we have done our best.

In conclusion, our circumstances, whether of money, fame, wealth, or relationships, do not define us. We have the power to choose who we want to be, and we can turn out to be good or bad, depending on our choices. Successful relationships require commitment, resilience, patience, and a willingness to face challenges head-on. When we exhibit these virtues, we can build strong and lasting relationships that will shape us positively.

  • GET INTO THE TRENCH

    Listen to text-to-word voice reading

If you are not in it, nobody will be in it for you. You tell your followers to do certain thing and they end up doing what you do. If you loaf over the job, they do the same; if you are hard working, the people around you will do the same.

Nothing will be done until you are involved; you must be involved all through the process. When your followers know you are not deeply involved in the process they will cut corners and end up with shoddy and poor quality job. This is what we call supervision failure. The leader may mount up excuses upon excuses and put blames on his followers yet he is to be blamed for incompetence and losses whatever.

Sometime ago when my son was six years old, he brought home an assignment from the school. I supervised him on questions one to nine. On the tenth question I assumed he knows it already so I failed to crosscheck. The next day he came home and told me bluntly that I was the cause for missing a question. Initially I wanted to argue but upon examining myself I saw that I was not detailed enough and I acted on assumption that he will do the right thing.

It is an assumption and error of leaders to think that their followers would do the right thing. Leaders should not assume but should be in the picture and details of the activities of their followers. You are the leader because you understand the detail of the job than you followers. If your followers understand the detail of the process than you, you may soon switch role.

Role up your sleeves and get into the trench and work; you cannot know the details by mere overseeing: your hands have to be on the job and be directly involved in every phase and activities. Through this you will gain insights, knowledge and experience to put you on top.

For instance, if your subordinate knows that you do not know better they can always come up with all kinds of excuses of why excellence cannot be achieved. But if you have been in the trench and through the process you would mature to determine whether an excuse is plausible or not; and you would insist on achieving excellence anyway. For real leaders, there is very slim room of possible failure and there is much room for excellence if he is involved and labour on the vision along with his followers.

The followers would also respect such a leader and take him serious on the job because he is involved in the process.

Another merit of a leader who is directly involved is his ability to foresee when a problem or challenge is brewing and he acts quickly before it becomes too late. But a leader who oversees from afar would have sunk before he realizes what goes wrong. A good leader would also know when things are taking good shape and he will motivate his team to seize the moment for a landslide success record.

Look at the job or project that is nose diving under you. From level 1-10, 10 being the highest, score your level of commitment.

    God’s Lieutenants:Bringing Heaven’s Will to Earth.

    Introduction:

In the teachings of Jesus Christ, he emphasized the importance of aligning earthly actions with the will of God. By praying for God’s will to be done on earth as it is in heaven, he revealed the significance of translating the divine purpose into tangible reality. This article explores the concept of being God’s lieutenants, individuals who strive to bring the higher form, grace, and love of heaven into the flawed world we live in.

    Perceiving Beyond the Surface:

While many people see the world as it is and simply complain, there are a few who possess a deeper perception. They catch glimpses of the superior grace and wisdom that resides within the heart of God. These individuals are driven to transcend the status quo and work tirelessly to manifest the perfect picture of God’s will on earth. They understand that there is a stark contrast between the earthly order of corruption, deceit, and anarchy, and the heavenly order of empathy, love, and harmony.

    The Earthly Order:

The world we inhabit is often characterized by self-centeredness, where individuals focus solely on their own interests. It is a place where the strong prey on the weak, and survival of the fittest prevails. This earthly order lacks refinement and fairness, leaving the vulnerable and marginalized at a disadvantage. It is a system that perpetuates a dog-eat-dog mentality, promoting individualistic pursuits over communal well-being.

    The Heavenly Order:

In contrast, the heavenly realm operates on principles of empathy, love, and selflessness. It is a world where people understand the importance of standing in the gap and helping the weaker ones to attain strength. In this divine order, individuals are empowered to become the best versions of themselves, fostering an environment of understanding, sharing, and giving. Every citizen of this heavenly realm finds joy in belonging and actively participates in uplifting others. It is in this realm that God’s will is fully realized, and it is His desire that we strive to create a similar atmosphere on earth.

    The Role of God’s Lieutenants:

God’s lieutenants are individuals who have embraced the responsibility of bridging the gap between the earthly and heavenly realms. They have recognized the need to transform the flawed world around them into a reflection of divine love, justice, and compassion. These lieutenants work tirelessly to dismantle the barriers that divide humanity, advocating for fairness, kindness, and the empowerment of the marginalized.

Embodying the Characteristics of God’s Lieutenants:

To be God’s lieutenants, we must cultivate empathy, love, and selflessness within ourselves. We need to see beyond our personal interests and actively seek the welfare of others. By emulating the characteristics of the heavenly realm, we can become instruments of positive change in a world that desperately needs it.

    The Journey of God’s Lieutenants:

Becoming a God’s lieutenant is not an easy task. It requires commitment, perseverance, and unwavering faith. It demands that we constantly seek the guidance and strength of God to fulfill our purpose. This journey entails both personal transformation and active engagement with the world around us. As lieutenants, we are called to challenge the status quo, advocate for justice, and strive for a world where every individual is valued and supported.

As followers of Jesus Christ, we are called to be God’s lieutenants, bringing heaven’s will to earth. By aligning our actions with the divine purpose, we can create a world that mirrors the love, empathy, and fairness of the heavenly realm. It is a journey that requires us to rise above the flaws of the earthly order and embrace the values that God cherishes. Let us strive to be God’s lieutenants, working together to transform the world.

The Power of Right Living: God’s Lieutenants and the Path to Greatness.

In the pursuit of advancement and greatness, it is crucial to recognize that moral values play a fundamental role in determining the stability, progress, and growth of individuals, organizations, and societies. Without virtue, true advancement is unattainable. This article delves into the significance of righteousness and right living as the key indices for measuring stability, progress, and growth on both individual and societal levels.

    The Limits of Unrighteousness:

When a society becomes driven by deceit, cheating, hedonism, and pleasure-seeking, it may appear to be in motion, but it is ultimately destined for stagnation. How far can a people go when they are constantly devising means to outwit one another? How far can a society go when it indulges in orgies, sexual promiscuity, drunkenness, and hedonistic pursuits? The answer is clear: such a society will eventually come to a halt. The pursuit of unrighteousness may offer temporary gratification, but it lacks the enduring foundation necessary for long-term progress and prosperity.

    Righteousness as the Foundation:

In Proverbs 14:34, it is stated that “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.” God’s will is for righteousness, or right doing, to permeate every aspect of our lives and for individuals to seek the well-being of their fellow human beings and their land. Right living serves as the pivotal point from which the expansion and growth of humanity emanate. It is the framework upon which God’s will is woven.

The Power of Character and Right Living:

Great leaders understand the importance of character and right living as the cornerstones of an enduring legacy. While others may choose to live according to their whims and desires, leaders who aspire to leave a lasting impact recognize the indispensability of character and right living. Enduring legacies cannot be built without them. Character and right living act as preservatives that keep the work of great leaders fresh and impactful for generations to come.

God’s Lieutenants: Bringing God’s Will to Earth:

God’s lieutenants are those who comprehend His will and actively bring it down to earth. They embody the beauty of God’s attributes, such as justice, equality, peace, love, forgiveness, and fairness. Right living is the indispensable foundation for manifesting these qualities. Great leaders understand that righteousness, or right living, is a catalyst for effective leadership. It is impossible to bring forth anything good without first embracing and practicing right living.

The Role of Right Living in Leadership:

Regardless of a leader’s dreams, goals, and aspirations, right living should always serve as the starting point. It is the bedrock upon which successful leadership is built. Right living shapes a leader’s character, integrity, and values, allowing them to make sound decisions, inspire others, and navigate challenges with wisdom and moral clarity. By prioritizing righteousness, leaders lay the groundwork for transformational leadership and the realization of their vision.

    Conclusion:

Right living holds immense power in shaping the destiny of individuals, organizations, and societies. It is through embracing righteousness that we become God’s lieutenants, working to bring His will to fruition on earth. By cultivating character, integrity, and moral values, leaders create enduring legacies and pave the way for progress, justice, and love to flourish. Let us remember that true advancement and greatness can only be achieved when righteousness becomes the guiding principle in every aspect of our lives.
